The Middle Level Education major leads to certification in teaching fourth through eighth grade. You’ll choose one of the following middle level specialization areas:
- English/Language Arts/Reading
- Mathematics

Wilkes has created Professional Development Schools with local urban and suburban public school districts, private schools and early childhood centers to give our students the opportunity to work with professional classroom teachers and connect theory with practice. These partnerships allow you to spend over 200 hours in these experiences before the capstone student teaching experience.
